****Budget Update****
The Ohio House is moving quickly to complete work on the 2012-2013 biennial budget and forward it to the Senate. They are expected to vote it out of the chamber during the first week of May, with the budget submitted by the Governor largely intact. On April 13, Gongwer (Volume #80, Report #71, Article #1) reported that House finance subcommittee leaders did not expect major changes in the way the budget funds K-12 or higher education.
CRP has completed an overview of Governor Kasich’s FY12-13 budget proposal. You can view the overview at http://bit.ly/hLTYeh.
Additionally, CRP has read through the Legislative Services Commission’s Redbooks (the LSC’s analysis of the proposed annual budget) for Ohio Department of Development, Board of Regents and Department of Job and Family Services and have identified all of the workforce related sections in the following PDFs.
