Yesterday the DOL announced that “In the week ending Sept. 12, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 545,000, a decrease of 12,000 from the previous week’s revised figure of 557,000. The 4-week moving average was 563,000, a decrease of 8,750 from the previous week’s revised average of 571,750.” Today Ohio announced that in August the state’ unemployment rate dropped from 11.2 to 10.8%.
