    Since 2007, the Ohio Workforce Coalition has been bringing together leaders from education and training institutions, economic and workforce development organizations, business and industry, labor, and human service providers. The Coalition promotes public policies that build the skills of adult workers, meet employer skill needs, and strengthen the workforce system to ensure opportunity and prosperity for Ohio families.

AECF working to make sure ARRA finds vulnerable families

The Annie E. Casey Foundation’s most recent news letter focuses on how ARRA money is reaching vulnerable families.  You can read more at http://www.aecf.org/CaseyConnects/2009/Fall.aspx.  Community Research Partners is the lead Ohio agency on the Working Poor Families project which is also funded by the Joyce, Ford, and Rockefeller Foundations.  Please send comments to this post if you know of work in Ohio that is specifically targeting low-income working families.  I’m working on an update to CRP’s report Average Isn’t Enough and would like to have some real examples.
