RE: OCIP

From Zach Waymer, Ohio Board of Regents:

“Greetings and Happy Spring! This is just a quick update to our call from March 10. Thank you to all of those of you in business, education, government and non-profits that have been in touch with state legislators to voice your support for funding a robust co-op and internship program of at least $100M using casino licensing fees – it is very much appreciated!

The state legislature is on break until April 13 so it is not necessary to contact any office during this time. Once sessions begin again on April 13, introducing the language for this bill will be a priority. Please continue to get in touch with your legislators at that time. Also, please engage as many businesses that have a stake in this to do so as well.

In the mean time if you have any questions please feel free to get in touch with Stacia Edwards (sedwards@regents.state.oh.us), Matt Smydo (msmydo@regents.state.oh.us) and/or Zach Waymer (zwaymer@regents.state.oh.us).
