CLASP and a variety of other organizations are asking President Obama’s National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform to ensure its recommendations to reduce the deficit will not harm low-income people. This message needs to be heard as much as possible by as many different messengers as possible. This is why we’re encouraging those who are or speak for low-income people to take part in a national conversation on June 26 that will allow the public to provide input on how the nation can reduce the federal deficit.
