Emergency Fund update from CLASP

Update on the TANF Emergency Fund from CLASP.

Congress is back in session, and we’re making a final push to get them to consider restoring the Emergency Fund. Even if we’re not successful, we think that a strong showing now will help protect TANF from possible cuts in the future. Anything you can do to demonstrate grassroots and employer support for the program, and to get media attention, will be helpful.

We talked about both UI extension and the TANF Emergency Fund in this post: http://www.clasp.org/issues/in_focus?type=employment_strategies&id=0017 which was also cross-posted to MomsRising as part of their Unemployment Insurance blog carnival.
