The Ohio Economic Development Association invites you to submit a proposal to present at the 2011 Annual Summit, themed “Ohio in Change,” to be held October 26 -28 at the Hilton Columbus/Polaris. The OEDA Annual Summit offers an opportunity for you to showcase solutions, initiate provocative discussions, and share effective strategies to the many challenges facing economic developers in Ohio. Based on feedback from prior Summit attendees, we are particularly interested in some “real life” case studies related to Community, Economic and Workforce Development in Ohio. Public-Private partnerships, multiple jurisdictions working together, creative use of incentives, and non-retail big box redevelopment would all be broad examples of what we are looking for.
Guidelines for Submission:
1.Complete the online Call for Presentations form in its entirety at the link below.
2. Presentations must be a minimum of 45 minutes in length, preferably with a question and answer period following the presentation.
3.The deadline for submissions is April 1, 2011.
4.Submission of a presentation does not guarantee participation in the program. Submissions will be reviewed by the Annual Summit Planning Committee, and you will be contacted no later than June 1, 2011 if your presentation has been selected.
5.Annual Summit proposals should not be submitted unless each presenter is available to appear on any day of the Annual Summit (Oct. 26-28, 2011). Accepted proposals will not be assigned a specific speaking date and time until the agenda is established (after June 1, 2011).
